Example: The actual action of mining is as dry and boring as it gets (you can read a book to it). Now suppose you are mining, with friends, and you know that the minerals you mine are going to be used to produce your first corp built BS. You plan on how many of what minerals you need, how to transport them, how to make the endeavor profitable and discuss this with the friends that are helping. All of a sudden you aren't paying attention to the pulsing of your mining lasers, your strategizing about the present and future. Maybe at the same time you are also considering where to place your first or second 0.0 POS, how to better fit your latest PVP ship for combat and what system to start testing out exploration fo the first time. You can have as many things going on as you want, and you can switch between them whenever you feel like it. Hard for me to understand how that would get boring so fast.
if i want to have fun on ventrilo with my friends, i don't need to pay CCP a monthly fee...
all those plans you say happen in my head in fractions of seconds... and then i am bored again. maybe i am too smart for this game, is it that what you're saying?
to smart? hardly.
if you was smart enough you would realise that your plan:
Frig, Cruiser, Bc, BS, WIN
was no good. i am 15.5m sp and still refuse to fly BS since i would rather fly smaller craft that i am more suited for ie:
Frig, Cruiser, Learning skills, T2 Frig, T2 Frig weapons + Support, T2 cruiser weapons +support (now i can fly a cruiser properly!), HAC, Drones + Drone support, Logistics (now i can help the noob sitting in a t1 fitted bs with my remote rppers, lucky him), 2nd Race frig, 2nd race cruiser (now access to 2 race'es T2 frig and hac \o/) now can set a goal to fly bs properl while haveing a hell of alot of choice in what i fly not a small handful of ships.
also...
mission running with friends/corp, pirating, low sec hunting, no sec hunting is fun when working in a team, get friends and you will find how to have fun in eve, eve is not a single player game or it wouldnt be eve-ONLINE?
sell your bs and maybe get a new one in a few months, when you know how to fly a bs and are able to use it and ships that are smaller. get a t1 frig with web, scram & mwd and theres a cheap tackler that any alliance/corp/vet will be happy to have assist in an op/gank.
edit:
does it not make sence to see all them skills on the market and relise that there is probally something more than missions and you might attually be able to do it even though your not 3 years old, in game of course ;) . ----
